Junior Achievement of the Bluegrass is proud to present JA’s Stock Market Challenge, an exciting, hands-on experience that gives students a taste of life on the trading floor.
Through the JA Take Stock in Your Future® program, high school students learn the fundamentals of investing, including how stocks work, how global events influence markets, and how investors make decisions as they build diversified portfolios. They then put those lessons into action during the Stock Market Challenge, an immersive, high-tech simulation where every 60 seconds represents a full trading day.
Armed with a $1,000,000 virtual portfolio, student teams buy and sell stocks in real time as breaking news, economic events, and market trends continually reshape the investment landscape. The result is a fast-paced competition that brings financial concepts to life while building critical thinking, teamwork, and decision-making skills.
Thanks to the generous support of our community partners and sponsors, both the JA Take Stock in Your Future® curriculum and JA’s Stock Market Challenge are provided to schools at no cost, helping prepare Kentucky students for future success in college, careers, and personal finance.
